In 2024 a group of SFHA swimmers challenged themselves, with support from kayakers, to swim to Split Rock from SFHA Beach. Not only did they all make it but a good time was had and a tradition was started. The Split Rock Swim is not a contest or a club, it’s just a little taste of swimming in the wild with friends. Floatation devices or flippers or other swim aids are part of the fun. The only purpose is just to get there. The swim has been held on a weekday in late August to avoid the weekend boaters in Smith Cove. And….there is an After Party!!!
